If you see the yellow boxes in the upper right of the members page, you are not logged into the new system. If you see "successfully logged out" in the upper right of that same page, your session has timed out and you need to log in again.

This system is very secure, but it can be confusing. There are three separate security features:

  1. The php login (upper right, yellow boxes on the members page) protects the art information database and the processes members use to update their data (artist byline, contact, location, upload, manage, etc.) on the new system. You need to sign in there to get into the new part of the system
  2. The popup protects all new art from public view until it is published to the Art Log. It also strongly protects the new database from unauthorized access or update by spammers and hackers.
  3. The account manager (My Account, upper right on the members page), implemented in the original membership system in 2006, strongly protects your personal information: username, password, point balance located on the original membership database. If you click on "My Account," you will be able to see and update your first name, last name and password. You will also be able to buy points.

This system is in transition. Unfortunately, the three security processes use three different technologies to accomplish their protection. This makes the protection stronger, but integration more difficult. We would like to eliminate the popup, but that would mean exposing the art to public view before it is published in the Art Log, so various alternatives are under consideration. By the way, the new system uses new technology (php) and it would not have made sense to do the new system in the old technology (cgi). Thank you for your patience and understanding.
